ST. JOSEPH’S HISTORY: Late Rev. Fr. Albino Bortholatho PIME, Late Rev. Mother Enrichetta, Late Rev. Mother Celestine, Late Rev. Sr. Petrina and Late Rev. Sr. Roseline were the pioneers of this institution.. Late. Rev. Mother. Celestine was the first Superior and Headmistress of the school from 1952 – 1963. Late Rev. Brother Guidino Tasca and Late Rev. Mother. Celestine were the architects of the institution.

The urban population consists of mostly of agricultural farmers and agricultural labourers. The Khammam town has (35) slums. The residents of these slums are of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and backward classes. The children belonging to these poor families cannot afford to pay fee for their education and prefer to get admitted in St. Joseph’s High School, Khammam. The St. Joseph’s high school is located in Khammam town at Guttalabazar. It is a boon to the poor families for discipline and loving care to fulfill their educational ambitions.

Our Telugu Medium school is started in the year 1950 with the meagre strength of 400. English Medium has been started in the year 1960 with the strength of 500 initially. We have Telugu, English and CBSE schools currently having the strength of 2350.

To impart this Education we have 87 highly qualified, trained,experienced, hardworking, committed and dedicated staff. So we are striving hard to develop all round personality of the child through curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Above all the school is imparting value based education.
